HRCC Center Director Discusses Cooperation on Migrant Worker Employment with Yura Harness Representative at Chhbar Mon Municipality, Kampong Speu Province.
On July 15, the HRCC Center Director Park Nam Soon met with Lee Doo Won, the representative of Yura Harness, a wiring harness manufacturing company that expanded to Cambodia in 2022, to discuss collaboration aimed at promoting migrant worker employment. During the meeting, Yura Harness expressed significant interest in the migrant workers who completed training at the HRCC Center and committed to actively considering their recruitment. Both parties agreed to advance their cooperative relationship by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future.

The Yura Harness representative highlighted the consistent demand for migrant workers proficient in Korean and noted that in 2024, the company had hired three migrant workers with prior work experience in Korea. He emphasized that the company prioritizes hiring migrant workers with experience in Korean companies and a deep understanding of Korean culture.
Yura Harness specializes in manufacturing wiring harnesses that supply power to all electronic components in automobiles and transmit electrical signals to various control modules. The company currently employs over 1,000 staff in Cambodia and operates manufacturing plants in Vietnam, Cambodia, and China, exporting its products back to Korea.

This discussion underscores the pivotal role that migrant workers with experience in Korean companies can play in the Cambodian job market. The collaboration between HRCC Center and Yura Harness is expected to contribute significantly to expanding employment opportunities for migrant workers.
